About Befirst

Birna Bragadóttir is the founder and managing director of Befirst.

Birna has extensive experience and has worked with successful companies in the field of workplace culture, gender equality, management and human resources.

Birna is the chairman of Icelandic design fund (Hönnunarsjóður) and is a board member at Reykjvík fibre network (Gagnaveita Reykjavíkur).

Birna previously worked as a consultant at Capacent,  worked as a executive consultant for Orka náttúrunnar. She was Orkuveita Reykjavíkur's talent manager, where she led e.g. the company's gender equality work when it received the Gender Equality Agency's Gender Equality Award (2013) and the Gender Equality Incentive Award (2015). Birna worked on an hotel development project and was the managing director of Sandhotel. Furthermore, Birna worked for Icelandair for 13 years in human resources, training, development and service management.

Birna has an MBA from Reykjavik University and BA in Socology from University of Iceland. Birna is an executive Coach from Coach University.

Birna has a great passion for the outdoors activities and nature. She has been the team leader of FÍ Landvættir, swam across the English Channel in 2019 and went cross-country skiing over Vatnajökull 2020 to name but a few.

Greiningarvinnan í byrjun hjálpaði okkur að fanga þá þætti í menningu tveggja ólíkra félaga sem starfsfólki fannst mikilvægt að halda í og skemmtilegar vinnustofur með þátttöku allra starfsmanna voru ekki síður gagnlegar til koma í orð hvernig menningu starfsfólk vill byggja upp til framtíðar saman. Í framhaldinu stilltum við upp fjölda verkefna að ráðast í sem munu hjálpa okkur við að þróa framtíðarmenningu TM samstæðunnar.“
